Several years ago, many of the Escondido High graduating classes came up with the idea of having a
combined Class Reunion for all classes celebrating 50 years or more. We think this is a wonderful idea
and the City of Escondido has been very supportive in making Grape Day Park available year after year.
This gives all of us the opportunity to see our classmates and old friends from classes ahead or behind us.

Now there is a 50+ Reunion every year making it a little easier to reconnect with old friends,
especially for classmates that live away from Escondido and only return to the area every few years.
This annual event is a great way to connect with old friends. It is a very well run affair in the park
with large tents, plenty of restrooms, easy access, and great food.

Our 57th reunion held in May 2017 was a lot of fun and included a general gathering at the Cruisin' Grand Vintage Car Show on Friday night and the 50+ Class Reunion at Grape Day Park on Saturday.

For 2018, the Class of 1960 Reunion Committee has planned the following events for our class.

Events –

Friday, May 18th - Cruisin’ Grand Vintage Car Show, Downtown Escondido (Grand and Broadway)
5:00 – 9:00 p.m. for all EHS graduates. Cruisin' Grand is a Friday night weekly event that takes place on
Grand Avenue and runs April through October. The event consists of historical and collector cars, street music,
and a large group of spectators. It is very casual. Our class attendees gather at the corner of Grand and
North Broadway, and just mingle and talk to old friends. Many restaurants along Grand Avenue are open. You may want to bring folding chairs to ensure you have a comfortable place to sit. There is
a special area for reunion attendees with classic cars to display them.

Saturday, May 19th - This is the Main Event - 50+ Year Class Reunion, Grape Day Park.
(Reunion for everyone who graduated from EHS in 1968 or before).
Invitations being sent out in February 2018.
